What is a "hybrid" course structure?
A "hybrid" course is an innovative way of delivering the high-quality instruction we are known for. But in a way that works for your schedule. Your instructors lead each week off with an in-person lecture just as they normally would in our standard class structure. However, the only difference is you now get more time to complete the rest of your assignments for the week. By structuring class this way class schedules become more flexible, and learning becomes more accessible for adults with other obligations and responsibilities.
Important information about our interpreting training courses:
• We provide interactive interpreting training
Prospective students should understand that all of our online courses are interactive. Interactive interpreter training means that whenever you have class, you are learning from a real instructor in real-time, along with a small-sized group of peers. You should expect immediate feedback, correction and personalized coaching from experienced language interpreters themselves. This is not going to be a standardized and repetitive online course, that requires you to learn from A.I or by watching instruction videos all on your own.
• We do NOT provide an interpreter's license
Because only a state sanctioned office or government recognized entity can issue you an official interpreter license. To even register for your state's interpreting examination, you must prove that you have passed an instruction course. Each entity has different requirements for classroom hours in order to sign up for your licensing exam. You do NOT need to have a license to find language interpreting work, but our certificate courses will satisfy the vast majority if you want to pursue a license.
At the very least, bilingual adults should register for our FREE 1 hour information webinar! Ask all of your questions and get answers! ...Did we mention that it's free?
