The Interpreter acts as a vital communicative liaison between English and non-English speaking individuals in the Advocates counseling community.  The Interpreter will translate communication between care recipients and providers within our MetroWest-based clinics.

Job Description: Qualifications: Must have active NCIHC certification, Certification for Medical Interpreters (National Board Certification), or similar professional Interpreter certification. Must have interpreting experience in a wide variety of settings, particularly in Mental Health or medical settings. Ability in dealing with complex, sensitive and emotional issues. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information at all times. Must possess strong customer service approach, active listening and excellent interpersonal skills. Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to travel between sites. Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
