Program Overview
Online Advanced Medical Interpreter Training & National Board of Certification for Medical interpreters (NBCMI) Exam Preparation Program is a 5-week training course that was designed to develop new skills and enhance existing ones, in intermediate to advanced areas of the medical interpreting profession and prepare medical interpreters for The National Board of Certification for Medical interpreters (NBCMI) exam administered by the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (National Board).
The Advanced Medical Interpreter Training course is ONLY for students who completed PART #1: 60-hour Medical Interpreter Certificate Training Program.
We are accepting applications for our 5-week Online Advanced Medical Interpreter Training & National Certification for Medical interpreters Exam Preparation Training Session that starts on November 11, 2025 and ends on December 12, 2025.
Space in the training program is limited and is filling up quickly, so we recommend early registration. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the course is full.
Our Online Advanced Medical Interpreter Training & NBCMI Exam Preparation Course is the most comprehensive, up-to-date training program, developed by a team of healthcare practitioners and medical interpreters for students who have completed the first part of the Medical Interpreter Training (“Fundamentals of Medical Interpreting”), passed the final test and would like to strengthen their medical interpreting skills and increase their medical vocabulary.
Students will be equipped with new terminology, techniques and strategies to reach the next level in their medical interpreting profession, maintain the integrity of the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics and prepare for the National Board of Certification for Medical interpreters ( NBCMI) Exam.

$550 ($50 registration fee and $500 course fee)

In order to be accepted into the Advanced Medical Interpreter Training & NBCMI Exam Preparation Program you need to complete the Medical Interpreter Training (“Fundamentals of Medical Interpreting”) with Language Connections first and get a Certificate of completion OR have received a certificate from an equivalent Medical Interpreting Program.
The course is entirely online.
